Who Is Jesus?
Jesus is the Son of God who entered our world to reveal God’s love and rescue humanity from sin and death. He lived a perfect life, taught with authority, welcomed those who were far from God, and demonstrated God’s kingdom through acts of compassion, healing, and forgiveness. Through His death on the cross, Jesus bore the penalty for our sin, and through His resurrection He defeated death and opened the way to new life. Today, Jesus reigns as Lord and King, inviting all people into a restored relationship with God and the hope of His coming kingdom.
Turning to Jesus
Jesus invites every person to respond to Him with repentance and faith. Repentance means turning from sin and self-rule and turning to God. Faith means trusting in Jesus: His death for our sins, His resurrection from the dead, and His power to make us new. It is receiving Him as both Savior and Lord, trusting Him with our lives and following Him in His ways. This response is more than agreeing with a set of beliefs; it is aligning our lives with God through Jesus. This becomes our mission at Grace Church, to help people know and follow Jesus.
