My Story

Although I believed the Bible, I didn't appreciate how real and relevant it was to my life until I attended my first women’s retreat when I was 23. I was finally at a place where I was ready to anchor my whole life around Jesus, accept Him and let Him have full control to change me and to love me.

Looking back I see the faithfulness of God in my life, through the gift of meeting my husband, and the blessing of our two children. In addition, the Lord has led me to be a part of three different church communities over the years where my faith has been strengthened, I was held accountable, new friendships have been created, and I learned to support and encourage others.

My Hope for Grace

My hope for Grace is that every person who comes through our doors would be changed. I like how the Message paraphrases Romans 12:1-2 “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
