Communications Coordinator

Description of Grace

Grace Church, in Hudson, MA, is a growing community of people from a wide variety of backgrounds who seek to know and follow Jesus. About 1000 people from over a dozen towns in the region worship with us. We are a community that helps people know and follow Jesus. As we live this out you will notice: the gospel is central and essential to all of life; there is nothing more important to us than the Good News about Jesus, faith is not a solo project and encountering Jesus will change your life.
Reports to:  Executive Director
Status:  Full-time salaried
Hours:  40 hours +, per week
Church and Community Communication
Promote the Grace Church story and activities. Maintain and develop the church website, app and social media platforms. Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop and implement communication strategies.

Specific skills or experience required include:

  • Excellent writing and visual presentation skills.
  • Technical skills including Adobe Photoshop and In-Design, website management and social media management.
  • Work with others to promote messaging in line with the Grace Church's vision and mission.
Activity Scheduling
Maintain the church database with respect to scheduling, calendar management, room reservations, etc. This activity is to ensure availability, coordinate oversight with relevant staff, and ensure cleaning and set-up is in place. This information is also basic input for church communications.
Visitor and Volunteer Engagement
This ministry activity is to help assist pastors and directors connect with visitors and volunteers. It includes engaging with the Welcome Team for in-person connection with visitors and subsequent follow up, and ensuring volunteers are well supported and equipped to succeed in the work God has called them to at Grace. This person will develop broad connections with people at Grace Church and have on-going knowledge of church vision, mission and activities, to help others connect, learn, and serve in the Grace community.
