Youth

The youth ministry of Grace serves over 100 students every week. Teens from diverse backgrounds come from towns all over MetroWest to experience community, learn about God and have fun. The ministry strives to create relationships that help students know and follow Jesus.

Sunday Mornings - Deeper Life Groups

Every Sunday, Grace offers multiple study groups for middle schoolers and high schoolers during the 9:00 hour. The groups are a time to learn about God’s word, wrestle with tough questions, encourage one another and deepen friendships.

Taught by trained volunteers, groups are highly relational and engaging, as they assist students in drawing closer to God and living out their faith.

Our current Fall 2018 Sunday Morning Deeper Life Groups are:

  • "The Real God", led by Martine Brunache
  • "Bold" (Boys Group), led by Kibwe Jonay
  • "Acts: Birth of the Church", led by Garrett McCarthy
  • "Beneath the Lyrics", led by Lisa & Allison Subat

For Students

This year's overarching theme (2018-2019) is "Foundations", where we will be helping our youth develop a biblical worldview.  We are beginning with a series called "Best Friends Forever" focusing on what it means to develop healthy friendships. Then we will transition into a discussion more specifically on dating relationships.

SPECIAL YOUTH EVENTS

Throughout the year, the youth ministry offers a variety of special events. Our annual winter retreats, mission trips (local and international), youth rallies, summer camps and conferences provide unique experiences for teens to grow in their relationship with God and build friendships with one another.

This year, our students headed up to New Hampshire for a week of summer camp at Berea from July 8 to 14, 2018 and also in July, twenty-one of our youth and adults embarked on a Puerto Rico mission to serve children and to help with disaster relief with construction projects.  We led a Bible club for children partnering with Manati Iglesia del Nazareno each morning and then with Iglesia Antiogquia did home and roof repair every afternoon.  God's love was shared in word and action through an incredible group of teens and adults.  Pray for Puerto Rico as they rebuild from Hurricane Maria.  There are more than 60,000 homes still in need of repair and the hearts of the people are broken.  Also, pray for us as we consider returning in 2019.  God is good ALL the time!
