Helping children heal from the hurt of divorce
Kids make friends with other kids who understand what it feels like when parents get separated or divorced. Our DivorceCare4Kids (DC4K) group combines games, crafts, activities, music, and DVD dramas to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. At DC4K, kids find joy and hope built on God's love.
DC4K, ages 5-12, meets Thursday evenings, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
Some of the topics covered will be:
• What's Happening to My Family?
• God Loves Children in All Kinds of Families
• Facing My Anger
• Journey from Anger to Sadness
• I Am Not Alone
• God's Plan for Me
• Develping New Relationships
• Developing Money Smarts
• It's Not My Fault
• Telling My Parents How I Feel
• Forgiveness
• Loving My Parents
• Moving On, Growing Closer to God
At the same time, a DivorceCare runs for adults who are separated, going through a divorce, or already divorced. You will learn first-hand how to deal with the pain and look forward to rebuilding your life.
These 13-week sessions runs continually throughout the calendar year, but take a short break between sessions. There is no cost for the adult program and $15 for the kids program (which includes a light meal). For additional information on both programs, email Louise Hale or call 978-562-8550 x 112.
